A BIT MORE ABOUT US...

GERRY

Hi, I’m Gerry Mulvihill, I started The Pivotal Space in 2021 on a Mission to Motivate the Mid-Years. I'm passionate about supporting individuals to make time for themselves, to think differently, reflect where they are now and take action on where they want to go. With over 35 years in corporate business, I have worked across various FTSE 100 companies and industries, including banking, telecommunications, business start-ups, regulation, and energy. Throughout my career, many years as a senior change leader, I've worked with individuals and teams at all levels, including C-suite executives.

Sport has also played a big part in my life, particularly competitive football, running and athletics. I love helping individuals and groups discover and achieve their fitness goals.

As a transformational coach and mentor, fitness instructor and personal trainer, I can provide an all-around coaching experience. I value positivity, energy, and courage and that we can always do more than we think, we just need to trust ourselves to go there – and I can help you trust yourself and create the life you want.

A few personal things about me:

I live in South-West London with Jo, who has recently joined the fitness arm of The Pivotal Space to extend our offering. I'm a dad to three children, two girls, and a boy who are all now forging out their own paths. I’ve been through divorce, with career successes, changes of direction and work highs and sometimes lows. I keep very active and have a passion for travelling, experiencing new places and different cultures. All these experiences have shaped who I am today.

I believe that less is more... with the only limit being the one we set for ourselves.

Hi, I’m Jo Chapman, I’m a personal trainer at The Pivotal Space. I also run a consultancy business – Curious Jellyfish - focusing on Organisational Culture, Leadership and Team Effectiveness. My corporate background spans over 20 years across Finance, Commercial and Organisational Development and I have an MSc in Organisational Change from Ashridge Business School.

As a fitness instructor and personal trainer I’m passionate about helping people on their fitness journey, whether you’re a seasoned athlete or just starting out, I’m both supportive and challenging – you never know what you can do until you try. I’m acutely aware that as we age our muscles and functional fitness deteriorate, so we all need to have a fitness plan to combat that and stay healthy and mobile, that’s where I can help.

My biggest sporting/fitness achievement has been cycling from London to Milan – 900miles, across 9 countries in 9 days – Ride 999. The most valuable thing I learnt was not to think about the full distance, just focus on the next block, the next 25 miles until rest stop (and cake). This is true, not just in cycling, but in life too – break it down into first next steps.

A few personal things about me:

I live in South-West London with Gerry, and when I’m not working or training clients, you’ll probably find me on the golf course, having recently taken up the game I'm a little bit addicted. I love travelling and have previously owned a motorhome which was fabulous! It’s on my bucket list to get another one and travel across Europe...again!

I believe that you’ve absolutely got this.
